Designing the questionnaire: IT-Manager

The module IT-manager is the center of IT. It offers you the following facilities:
* instead of using the elaborated interactive user-interface, you can also build questionnaires batch-wise;
* you can also file questions in a question library. When you construct a new questionnaire just import any relevant questions from the library;
* if you want to, the answer to a question can be used real-time to generate or adjust questions;
* of course you can define the answer type, the answer range, and the answer mask. Examples of question types are: pre-coded, numeric, string, text, code-open (for coding open questions during interviewing), open, all single or multi response;
* by defining range and mask you can make sure that the answers meet certain conditions. This can be useful when handling tricky data like for instance zip codes. The automatic check you can build in limits the number of mistakes;
* answer masking is the option that you can use for selectively deleting answer categories, depending on the previous answers. When for instance a respondent is not familiar with certain brands from a list, the answer categories of these brands will not occur in later questions;
* to avoid order effects you can randomize or rotate the order in which questions or answer categories appear;
* because of the large number of logical, relational and mathematical expressions and functions you can define questions for very select groups, for instance: men aged over 60 who do the dishes more than three times a week. For respondents not meeting this condition, IT will 'jump' to another question. With these skips you lay out the routing of the questionnaire. IT can show this routing very surveyable in an 'overview window' which shows the routing, including skips, expressions, questions and ranges. This enables you to make changes easily. You can change the order, add or delete questions even when several respondents have already completed the questionnaire;
* you can link databases to your questionnaire. You can read, write and search inside these databases;
* you can modify and save the questionnaire while interviewers are working in IT-Agent.
